Description of analysis

Detection and typing of Human papillomavirus, one of the most common sexually transmitted infections. It detects 4 HPV subtypes (two low-risk types 6 & 11 and two high-risk types 16 & 18)

Test methodology

DNA is extracted and purified from sample and is subjected to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification. Genotyping is determined by type specific assay according to individual type specific DNA sequence
