What is it?
Identify the D816V mutation
KIT, also called CD117 or C-Kit, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds to stem cell factor to facilitate the growth of blood cells.
The C-Kit D816V mutation has been implicated in the pathogenesis of several diseases including:
-
Systemic mastocytosis (SM)
-
Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST)
-
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML)
The D816V mutation also suggests a patient is unlikely to respond to C-kit-targeted treatment with imatinib and tyrosine kinase inhibitor.
DiagCor C-Kit real time PCR kit is designed to identify the D816V mutation.
Fast and cost-effective, this highly sensitive molecular technique can detect as low as 0.1% of mutations present in 99.9% wild-type DNA background.
Who is it for?
This kit is especially valuable to oncology practitioners and researchers concerned with identifying and treating various pathologies, including systemic mastocytosis (SM), gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
GenoQuest C-Kit real time PCR kit is also useful to oncology researchers.
Why is it different?
This highly sensitive kit allows selective site-specific detection of mutant DNA.
It can detect less than 0.1% mutant sequence copies against a background of 99.9% wild-type DNA.
The ready-to-use reagent is compatible with various real time PCR machines and delivers results 2.5 hours after extraction.
Advantages
Accurate – Highly sensitive test allows site-specific detection of less than 0.1% mutant sequence copies in a background of 99.9% wild-type DNA
Practical – Compatible with various real time PCR instruments
Fast – Delivers results in approximately 2.5 hours after extraction
Easy – Ready-to-use reagent
Cost effective – Highly price-competitive
